A free mod for Fallout 4, by CylonSurfer.
Players will now always see a pipboy on their left arm when not wearing Power Armor thanks to the mod Idle Hands, which adds visible hands in a variety of designs and skin tones that can be customized via the mod's FOMOD installer. Players' hands are visible both when their weapons are drawn and when they are not, and when a frame is entered, their hands transform into Power Armor hands, which pairs well with the visible Power Armor helmets in "Kabuto:VR." In addition, the mod offers 10 "Custom Weapon" profiles that may be accessed through holotape. These profiles let players place their custom weapon mods' guns in better places in relation to their visible hands.
Both hands are "static," meaning that the fingers won't move or be animated in any manner, but they nonetheless give a deeper level of realism for those players who are looking for it. All of the game's weapons (including DLC) have been painstakingly placed by hand to "best fit" the hands that can be seen in-game, but please be aware that some weaponry may have some slight clipping.
The ammo counter and the player's main health gauge are two of the more "invasive" right-hand UI elements that Idle Hands places on the back of the player's right hand.
Idle Hands now features a "Touch-based" Pipboy activation system to add an additional layer of immersion and help with the cumbersome vanilla wrist-based Pipboy implementation. As soon as it is turned on, the Pipboy's screen remains at full size. Idle Hands additionally enables users to 'virtually' administer Stimpaks by putting them on over their left shoulder and sticking them into their right hand!
